Dechen London is part of the international Dechen network of Buddhist centres established by Lama Jampa Thaye under the authority of his teachers, His Holiness Sakya Trichen and Karma Thinley Rinpoche.

The temple offers authentic teachings and meditation practices from the Sakya tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, making these profound methods accessible in contemporary life.

Our Principal Teacher: Lama Jampa Thaye

Lama Jampa Thaye is a scholar and meditation master trained in the Sakya and Karma Kagyu traditions of Buddhism.  He is authorized as a Lama and Vajrayana master by his two main teachers  His Holiness the Sakya Gongma Trichen and Karma Thinley Rinpoche. He is also particularly close to HH Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje and has received teachings from over thirty masters.
